Overview

Arla Foods Taw Valley are looking for a responsible Production Operative who is interested in embracing a new challenge with a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Cheese Production team at our Taw Valley Creamery.

Location: Devon, GB

Main duties

As a Production Operative, you will be reporting into the Operations Team Leader, playing a lead role within the department, overseeing the cheese making process and fixing any process failures. This role will be working a 4 on/4 off shift pattern, which will include 12 hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting resolving day-to-day production issues & making process equipment available for maintenance.
  • Completing daily cleaning of equipment – draining table, salting table & floors during the washdown process.
  • Replenish cultures on a daily basis & complete stock take on a weekly basis to ensure correct quantity is available.
  • Responsible for placing culture delivery’s in correct locations (freezers & fridges) & recording data on spreadsheet.
  • Monitor and record freezer temperatures & complete audits to ensure department KPI’s are achieved and that any deviations from standard are recorded and communicated to the Operations Team Leader.
  • Work closely with maintenance and other members of the team to ensure lost time due to breakdowns is minimized.
