Process Technician – Cottage Cheese – Stourton Dairy

Location: Arla Foods Stourton, LS10 1AX, Leeds, GB

We are currently recruiting for a Process Technician to join the Process Operations Department on a full-time basis. The role is a 42-hour week on a shift rota of 4 on / 4 off – 2 days / 2 nights, with bookable holidays.

What will the role involve?

Reporting into the LCO Core Team Leader, the role involves working as part of a team of skilled Technicians to achieve and surpass processing and production targets using performance management tools and process confirmation.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and practice a strong safety culture, uphold GMP, and adhere to 5S standards.
• Process order management using SAP systems.
• Maintain company policies and procedures related to Food Safety, GMP, Customer Codes of Practice, Health & Safety, Environment, and operating practices.
• Contribute to site KPIs and Tactical Implementation Plans.

Qualifications & experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership behaviors appropriate for this role, be a confident communicator and team player with strong attention to detail. Experience in an operational role within manufacturing or logistics is preferred, with knowledge of lean tools and techniques. Computer skills are required; previous use of SAP and Microsoft Office is advantageous.

• Produces around 660 million litres per year on 16 automated filling lines.
• Over 225 SKUs across 10 product groups including Cravendale, BOB milk, creams, custards, and cottage cheese.
