  • The role will be shift based, working a 4 on 4 off pattern with rotating days and nights.
  • As a Logistics Operator you will complete all cold store functions including order picking, physical inventory, loading and housekeeping duties.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles, operating counterbalance forklift truck and completion of loading/delivery paperwork.
  • You will operate and monitor palletiser equipment performance, correct/raise issues before they become problems and perform basic maintenance tasks and fault diagnosis.
  • You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by raising near misses, environmental and risk/safety observations.
  • Previous experience of working in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings.
  • Support completion of risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
  • Complete mandatory and job specific training courses so that skills are kept up to date.

Who are you?

Experience in a similar position preferred, although full training will be given.

  • A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative.
  • Previous forklift experience, although novice or refresher training will be booked for the successful candidate.
  • Experience using warehouse ERP system (SAP) and Microsoft office programs would be preferred.
  • Previous experience of working in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene would be preferable, although the appropriate training will be provided.
  • You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings.
