We have an exciting Maintenance Engineer role to join our Oakthorpe Dairy site. Oakthorpe is a key site for Arla Foods producing our tasty fresh milk for our customers in around the south of England. In this role you would join an established and dynamic engineering team and provide critical engineering and maintenance support across our production lines.

How will you add value

  • Provide critical breakdown support across a complex 24/7 production site from conveyors through to fully automated milk filling and packing equipment.
  • Carry out planned, preventative maintenance and servicing activities as planned via the CMMS system
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose breakdowns using structure problem solving techniques and drive continuous improvement to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Champion health and safety by adhering to safety standards, SOPs and participating in risk assessment
  • Support and lean into projects across the site, both small and large, actively inputting to site development and performance.

What youll need in order to be successful in the role

  • Experience in an FMCG, Food or regulated manufacturing environment, working at pace in a maintenance engineer or similar
  • Ideally you will be time served/ apprentice trained as an electrical, mechanical or Multiskilled Engineer qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3/ ONC or higher.
  • Structured problem solving experience, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and faulting finding.
  • Computer literate SAP PM or similar CMMS system, Microsoft Office
