North Tawton, Devon Mon- Fri Days Arla Foods are looking for a Quality Coordinator to join the QEHS team at our Dairy manufacturing site in Taw Valley. Situated in West Devon, Taw Valley produces award winning cheeses for our retail customers and the Quality Coordinator will work as part of the wider QEHS function to lead on technical compliance on site. Our site is in the heart of one of the biggest milk pools in the UK and produces both branded & own cheddars including our award winning Tickler® and BOB®. Over the next 2 years project Baldur will invest EUR 210m in brand new state of the art mozzarella technology on site. This will double the number of colleagues working on site to circa 200 people. How will you make an impact? Reporting into the site QEHS (Quality, Environmental and H&S) Manager, you will implement Arla Food’s QEHS standards and policies on site, ensuring that we maintain the relevant certifiable standards, customer demands, legislation and site standards in a cost- conscious manner. * Contributes to ensure Arla Foods QEHS standards/policies, relevant certifiable standards, customer demands, legislation and site standards are implemented within area of responsibility. * Contributes with specialist knowledge about products and/or processes in designated area of expertise. * Participates in quality-related projects and shares specialist knowledge to deliver continuous improvement with respect to designated area of responsibility. * Acts as a service provider or internal consultant by collecting and communicating relevant technical and quality information to help in problem solving and development in the business. * Provides risk assessment and crisis management support when appropriate and contributes to the resolution of issues. * Contributes to the development and maintenance of the management system. * Supports and drives development and maintenance of relevant data and databases. * Gathers, monitors, analyses and reports on quality information and data. * Provides relevant reports to site and business group management as applicable. * Carries out internal and external audit. * Coaches teams and individuals within the quality function at site. * Liaises with customers in relation to reporting, investigating issues, complaints, queries and coordinating of customer audits to support and enhance customer satisfaction. What will you need to succeed? You will need to possess a Food Science or FMCG background, with a minimum of 1-3 years experience within a Technical or Quality function. You will need to be an excellent communicator who has knowledge of customer and BRC standards. HACCP Level 4/ Food Safety Level 4 would be preferred.
