Operations Team Leader
Shift based role
An excellent opportunity for the role of Dairy Team Leader has arisen in our soon to be built new UHT plant. Initially on day shift the role will work with the project team through preparation, installation and commissioning / trials. Post “Go Live” and working on shift you will then be responsible for delivering operational plans and setting day to day team objectives including delivery of the site business plan and resolving day to day issues/escalation points.
How Will You Make An Impact
* Operations resource on the project team liaising with stakeholders and gaining knowledge from other UHT sites
* Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment using 5S principles, and maintain a cost-efficient and stable production process with emphasis on SIC/KPI1.
* Lead, coach, and develop the team based on leadership principles and the annual People Calendar, while assisting the team in achieving objectives through training, support, and resource organisation.
* Manage resources and direct reports, including performance management and investigations, and challenge processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Implement the department Business Plan, conduct walking tours and process confirmation, and enable daily direction setting meetings to drive performance.
* Ensure compliance with Arla\’s standards in Food Safety, H&S, Environment, manage emergency situations on site, and carry out internal audits to ensure compliance
What Will Make You Successful?
In order to be successful in this role you will need to have experience working as a Manager within a manufacturing environment, ideally within FMCG. You will preferably have a Health & Safety qualification as well knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles. An advanced knowledge of process control systems with a strong understanding of milk production and its related processes would be preferred but not essential.
