Arla Foods are the world\’s 4th largest dairy producer and the UKs 3rd largest food group. We have an exciting role to join our dynamic Settle engineering team as a ME project leader and support the site by delivering / contributing to project delivery.

Due to the site closure which we estimate to be in the second half of 2027, we are offering an enhanced reward and support package to support our colleagues. This includes a pro rata retention payment (25% of average annual salary) as well as a redundancy payment based on length of service (no 2-year minimum service needed). We are also offering relocation support for colleagues staying with Arla following site closure as well as out service support for those colleagues who choose not to stay.
Key role responsibilities
• Project Leader, within non-capex equipment modifications and CAPEX project, Identifies and handles improvements within site by contributing and execution of CAPEX process and projects.
• Executes overall project management and play a role as specialist in a specific area important to the dairy for technical projects according to project plan/specifications.
• Support safety and good working environment at site by involving safety organization before execution of project -with the goal of zero accidents and incidents, ensure QEHS is continually reviewed, with relevant reporting/ communication mechanisms in place throughout the dura-tion of the project
• Ensure anchoring of Arla sustainability goals in CAPEX projects.
• Responsible for proper planning and delivery of project objectives/tasks to time, cost, quality and risk criteria.
• Responsible for continuous business anchoring of the project through close dialogue with the projects\’ sponsor and key stakeholders
• Responsible for compliance with the Arla Foods project and CAPEX process, including utilization of the tools and systems used to report and document changes and results throughout the project.
• Responsible for compliance with legislation and for ensuring that important knowledge/results from the project and optimizations are documented and protected.
• Responsible for efficient project completion and implementation. This also includes suggesting changes in the project organization if needed.
• Manages, leads and develops project team members during CAPEX project.
• Supports operations (Production & packaging) on ad hoc projects/tasks.
• Ensures LEAN way of working and give input to CI.
Background/Experience
• The successful candidate will ideally be a skilled technician/technical engineer/engineer /Project manager within manufacturing environment
• The successful candidate will ideally have experience and financial competencies In managing project budgets
• 0-3 years of technical or project management experience after completed engineering training.
