LCO Core Team Leader- Lockerbie

Mon- Fri day shift role
As a Core Team Leader within the new UHT facility, you will initially be a key member of the project team working with stakeholders leading the Operations workstream through planning, installation, commissioning and trials. After “Go Live” you will undertake an area leadership role and be responsible for managing performance, safety, quality and cost savings. You will be delivering operational plans and setting day to day team objectives including delivery of the site business plan and resolving day to day issues/escalation points.
How Will You Make An Impact?
* Ensuring a safe, clean, and good working environment by utilising 5S principles, implementing and monitoring GMP standards, and ensuring compliance with Arla’s standards in terms of Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environment, including conducting internal audits.
* Assisting the team to achieve their objectives through training, coaching, hands-on support, and resource organisation, while conducting walking tours and process confirmation, and enabling daily direction setting meetings (DDS) to drive performance
* Managing production resources, including investigations and performance management, ensuring a cost-efficient and stable production process with emphasis on SIC/KPI, and controlling any emergency issues or situations on site.
* Working closely with the M&E team leader to ensure alignment on performance and prompt resolution of technical issues, while contributing to the development of current processes and ways of working.
* Challenging processes and practices to identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement while implementing the department Business Plan, including own objectives.
What Will Make You Successful?
* Experience within people management
* Knowledge of Lean principles (Six Sigma qualification would be preferred but not essential)
* Health and safety experience in a leadership role (qualification would be preferred but not essential)
* Excellent people skills, high levels of enthusiasm and a positive attitude to change and problem solving
* Management experience within a relevant sector such as food, manufacturing or FMCG
