The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

As an Intake Operator at our Settle Creamery, you will be the first point of contact at site for all milk deliveries and will ensure that these deliveries are processed correctly and efficiently. Paying particular attention to health and safety, you will analyse and evaluate products and materials to ensure that quality and approved analysis standards are met.

So what do our Intake Operators actually do?

  • Greet milk tankers to site and ensure that the deliveries are processed in a timely manner.
  • Conduct tests to analyse products and materials.
  • Interpret results of analyses and escalate non-conformance issues as required.
  • Communicate these results to relevant departments.
  • Ensure that instrumentation is functioning and that calibrated and verified methods are used.
  • Be responsible for the site milk booking in systems and ensure efficient management of milk with the Process Team.

What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role:

  • An attention to detail to ensure all recording is 100% accurate.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with external and internal teams.
  • If you have manufacturing/food manufacturing experience, that’s great. If not, we can coach you.
