M&E Team Leader - Settle

This is an exciting opportunity at our Settle site, a 24/7 operation with approximately 120 people producing UHT and lactose-free milk for the UK and export markets. We are searching for someone with a forward-thinking mindset, able to galvanise the team around great maintenance activities, and effectively utilise resources to deliver improved safety, quality, and performance within a large production site. The ideal candidate will look to continuously improve systems and ways of working while developing themselves and others around them.

How you will make an impact

• Champion health, safety, and engineering practices to deliver Maintenance Excellence with the engineering team and inspire a food safety and quality mindset at the site.
• Use the CMMS system to develop, plan, and implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs in line with departmental strategy. Identify opportunities for process and operational improvement and efficiency gains with a Lean mindset, and implement best practices.
• Monitor and analyse maintenance metrics and KPIs and effectively communicate the status of lines and equipment.
• Lead, coach, and develop a large team of engineers based on good leadership behaviours and core values.
• Act as a role model for digital transformation, working with data-driven decision-making and promoting a digital mindset.

Grow with Arla

• Professional qualification across an engineering discipline (NVQ level 3/equivalent or higher).
• In-depth knowledge and experience with the T.P.M programme, LEAN, WCM tool, CMMS system with S.A.P PM knowledge, and Office 365 skills would be highly advantageous.
• Preferably, leadership experience in a fast-paced regulated environment, bringing colleagues on a positive journey.
• You will fully understand all statutory law requirements, contractor control regulations, and have strong commercial experience to effectively utilise the available budget and resources.
