ARKRAY is a global healthcare company contributing to the health and well-being of people all over the world through the development of new technologies. With over 65 years of experience, our products are used in 120 different countries worldwide and are still growing, especially in Europe. ARKRAY entered the European market directly for the first time in 2021 and is now looking for an aggressive Business Development Manager who can help us grow and expand our sales in the UK. This position will plan and execute strategies to market and sell ARKRAY's top-of-the-line products into new and established hospitals, labs, clinics, as well as related markets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and sell ARKRAY products to achieve assigned sales targets within the assigned territory by increasing brand awareness and providing professional advice.
- Identify and establish strong working relationships with new and existing customers through routine meetings to develop positive customer rapport, exemplifying ARKRAY's core values.
- Effectively demonstrate and present ARKRAY products, prepare proposals, and negotiate new contracts and contract extensions in partnership with the wider UK and ROI team.
- Coordinate field activities during the pre- and post-sales process in partnership with the relevant colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Proactively address customer questions and concerns professionally to develop loyalty, customer satisfaction, and create new business opportunities.
- Attend and support trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings to effectively promote ARKRAY products.
- Provide necessary technical input to effectively participate in tenders or offers and develop strategic plans to influence upcoming opportunities.
- Provide ARKRAY management with market trends and competitive field activity information, enabling the company to plan and react to market changes and competitive activities.
- Responsible for the timely, accurate completion of administrative tasks, such as weekly reports, sales forecasts and sales meetings, CRM updates, and expense reports.
- Manage territory travel by planning in advance, adhering to company travel guidelines, and using sound business judgment.
- Perform other duties assigned as the business may require.
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or similar qualification in the field of Clinical Sciences or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of direct sales or business development within clinical diagnostics, experience of delivering Managed Service contracts and capital sales within the NHS & private sectors.
- Direct experience selling HPLC, HbA1c, and/or Urinalysis would be an advantage.
- Strong contacts within the NHS hospital and private laboratory markets.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK & Europe will be required sometimes outside normal business hours.
- Access to a major UK airport.
