This is a full-time, on-site Construction Worker role based in Stourbridge. The Construction Worker will support a variety of building projects, including new builds, refurbishments, and extensions, following site plans and instructions from supervisors.
Daily tasks may include:
- Preparing and cleaning work areas
- Loading and unloading materials
- Assisting with masonry, flooring, and structural work
- Operating basic tools and equipment safely
The role involves working as part of a site team, adhering to health and safety standards, and maintaining a tidy, organized work environment. The Construction Worker will also help with measurements, basic site documentation, and coordination with subcontractors and other trades as needed.
Qualifications:
- Practical experience or strong interest in core construction activities, including Construction and Renovation
- Hands-on skills in trade-specific tasks such as Masonry and Flooring
- Ability to follow instructions, interpret basic site plans, and support simple project research when required
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices, with a commitment to safe tool and equipment use
- Good physical fitness, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently when needed
- Previous experience on construction sites and relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS card or equivalent) are beneficial
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport to Stourbridge sites are an advantage
