You know recoveries is not about scripts or gently nudging invoices. It’s about getting assets back, pushing hard when others stop and seeing things through when cases get uncomfortable. At Arkle Finance, this role sits squarely in recoveries, not collections, with full ownership of complex arrears, terminations and capital‑at‑risk cases across our growing portfolio.
As Arkle continues to scale and invest in its Collections and Recoveries capability, this is a chance to bring real depth of experience into a team that needs confident judgement, persistence and backbone. You’ll play a direct role in protecting outcomes for customers and the business, while helping raise standards in a function that truly matters.
What sets this role apart?
- This is a recoveries‑only role, not a blended collections position
- You’ll focus on asset finance recoveries, not process‑driven case handling
- Exposure to complex business and consumer agreements, mostly unregulated
- A growing portfolio where strong judgement really counts
- Real opportunity to influence how recoveries operates as Arkle scales
- Hybrid working, based from Wellingborough with flexibility for the right experience
Why choose Arkle Finance?
Working for Arkle Finance means being part of a growing UK asset finance lender with strong backing and clear ambition. As part of the Weatherbys Banking Group, Arkle provides commercial and consumer asset finance built on sound judgement, straightforward conversations and doing the right thing, even when situations are complex.
We’re investing in our systems, our technology and our people as we scale the business and strengthen how we support customers across the UK. Join us at Arkle Finance as we grow, modernise and deliver practical asset finance solutions that protect outcomes for customers and for the business.
Your focus will include:
- Managing a portfolio of recoveries and capital‑at‑risk cases as a Recoveries Analyst
- Progressing live arrears over 90 days and terminated agreements
- Chasing, securing and maximising asset recoveries
- Engaging customers, guarantors and external representatives
- Working with insolvency practitioners, solicitors and enforcement agents
- Applying the right approach across regulated and unregulated agreements
What we’re looking for:
- Recoveries experience within instalment credit, ideally asset finance or motor finance recoveries
- Confidence handling complex cases from arrears through to resolution
- Experience dealing directly with asset recovery and third parties
- Resilience and persistence when conversations get challenging
- Sound judgement under pressure, without constant follow‑up
- Although you won’t need formal qualifications, CICM, DipAF or similar would be helpful
