We have built sustainable growth by backing talent. Now it’s your turn to take the lead and shape our broker relationships across the North. In this new role, created to support Arkle's continued growth, you will be responsible for driving revenue by building and maintaining strong relationships with our broker partners across the North of England. You will identify new business opportunities, negotiate complex deals, and provide exceptional support to our broker network. This is a remote position, with quarterly visits to our Wellingborough office for team and business updates. You will need to be based in the North of England to regularly visit brokers/introducers.
Why Join Us?
We have big ambitions, but we’re not a huge company – and that’s our strength. You’ll have genuine exposure to ExCo and the Board, and the variety of sectors and asset classes we lend into means no two days are ever the same. Your relationship with your line manager will be built on mutual trust and respect – no micromanagement here. This is a pure broker relationship management role: no cold calling, just the opportunity to nurture a warm portfolio of established brokers while developing new and under-served relationships.
Benefits:

- 25 days' annual leave (rising to 28 days with length of service)
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
- Income protection

What You Will Do:
- Ensure that broker/introducers experience a first-class service from Arkle
- Be the primary point of contact for assigned Brokers/Introducers
- Improve the quality of business introduced to Arkle and positively impact proposal, approval, and conversion rates
- Work closely with credit and underwriting teams to structure deals that meet both client needs and Arkle's risk appetite
- Demonstrate sound commercial judgement in pricing and negotiating terms
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing panel of brokers/introducers
- Regularly visit brokers/introducers and, where required, end-user customers and dealers in line with sales plans, audit requirements, and specific deals – some overnight stays may be required
What You Will Bring:
- Account management or business development experience in financial services where you have managed client or intermediary relationships, met targets, and supported financial products or services
- Experience assessing credit risk, structuring lending proposals, or supporting credit applications in a financial services environment
- Understanding of risk-based pricing and the factors that influence lending decisions
- Understanding of company accounts and financials (e.g., ability to interpret balance sheets and profit & loss statements)
