Care & Support Manager (Young People's Transitions Service)

Salary: Β£36,776.43 pro rata
Hours: 30 hours per week
Location: 1 post based in Perth | 1 post based in Blairgowrie

We have two exciting opportunities to join Ark's growing Young People's Transitions Team as Care & Support Managers, with one post based in Perth and one based in Blairgowrie.

These newly created roles reflect the continued growth and development of our specialist Young People's Transitions Service. As increasing numbers of young people and families look to Ark for support during one of life's most important transitions, we are investing in dedicated management capacity to help shape the future of the service and ensure we continue to deliver the highest standards of support.

Our Young People's Transitions Service supports young people as they move from childhood into adult life, helping them develop the skills, confidence and independence needed to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Working in partnership with families, education providers, health professionals, social work teams and commissioners, we provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's aspirations and needs.

This is an exciting time to join the team. The service currently supports over 20 young people across Perth and Kinross and continues to grow, with further transitions already planned and additional opportunities emerging across the region.

As a Care & Support Manager, you will lead through a practice leadership approach, working alongside and supporting your team to deliver high-quality, personalised support. You will create an environment where colleagues feel valued, confident and empowered to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of services within your area, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality support at all times. You will lead, support and develop your team, oversee quality assurance and compliance, build positive relationships with families and professionals, and play an active role in shaping the future development of this specialist service.

We are looking for compassionate, resilient and motivated leaders who are passionate about supporting young people and helping others to thrive. You will be organised, adaptable and solution-focused, with the ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining a calm, supportive and person-centred approach.

These positions are offered at 30 hours per week, with potential for additional hours and full-time opportunities as the service continues to grow. This is a hybrid working role, with a combination of home and office-based/service working. While the post is aligned to Perth and Blairgowrie areas, applicants will not be required to work from these locations every day.

If you are a values-driven leader who wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people while developing and inspiring others, we would love to hear from you.

As part of your induction to Ark, you will receive comprehensive training, mentoring and support to help you succeed in your role.

In return for your valuable contribution, Ark offers:

Fully funded SVQ Qualification in Health & Social Care completed with the support of our dedicated in-house SVQ Team

Up to 36 days paid holiday per year (pro rata)

4% Contributory Pension Scheme

Opportunities for career progression, with over 75% of all Care & Support Management roles filled through internal promotion

Employee Discounts Portal with thousands of discounts on your favourite brands, including supermarkets, cinema tickets, gym memberships and holidays

Cycle to Work Scheme

Please ensure your CV/profile contains your full employment history, qualifications and any relevant experience, as this information will be considered alongside your responses to the application questions.

Working towards equal opportunities and a diverse workforce.
