Part time Support Worker - Dunfermline

Full time 37 hours per week

Part Time 25 hours per week

The Ark service in Dunfermline supports 12 people with learning disabilities and autism. The support we offer differs from person to person which means being a support worker offers lots of variety. Some people are supported to live independently in their own homes while others stay with their families. Everyone is supported to say what they want their support to be like and what they’d like to achieve. This can vary from support to cook meals, go swimming, take medication, do arts and crafts, go to visit their friends or go on holiday.

Shifts are varied and can be from 3 – 16 hours over 7 days a week. Dunfermline has great public transport links so being able to drive is not essential to work with us.

Your main duties will be but not limited to:

  • Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable service users.
  • Communicate and work well with individuals to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Ark's Information Management system.

  • Enhanced Overtime: Any hours worked by a Support Worker over full-time contractual hours, will be eligible to an enhanced rate.
  • Up to 36 days paid holiday per year pro rata.
  • 4% Contributory pension scheme.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Fully funded PVG & 1st year SSSC registration paid by Ark.
