Our client are a leading European Private Equity firm looking to expand their Secondaries PE team with a hire at the Investment Manager level. This multi-billion dollar firm is one of the leading players in this space, with an established track record of working with blue-chip GPs over a number of years and the ability to execute some of the most complex and dynamic deals in the market. They have a lean but collegiate team culture, with a good amount of high-calibre junior team members in place for this individual to work with, alongside an impressive and longstanding senior leadership team. Our client execute a range of both LP-portfolio and GP-led deals.
As an Investment Manager, you will be expected to drive forward the entire investment execution process, often working on multiple processes at once. As such, the successful candidate must have significant investments experience working within Secondaries PE already.
The Role
- Assisting and leading the origination, execution, and portfolio management of Secondaries PE investments (both LP-portfolio and GP-led).
- Driving investment execution forward through the delegation and oversight of key responsibilities downwards and the management of internal processes and stakeholders upwards.
- Running the entire investment execution process, including, but not limited to, modelling, valuation, pricing, commercial DD, investment structuring, IC presentation, negotiation, and legal & tax.
- Maintenance of key GP relationships to aid sourcing and access to future transactions, coupled with the formation of new relationships where useful and necessary.

Requirements
- At least 2yrs+ of Secondaries PE investments experience (ideally 3-4yrs). Could also have been gained as part of a wider primaries and co-investments team, but meaningful Secondaries PE experience is a must.
- 5-8yrs of total relevant experience, with initial training likely conducted in Investment Banking/M&A before starting your PE career.
- The ability to lead the execution of a Secondaries PE transaction from start to finish, with comfort across all diligence and execution workstreams.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Humble, down to earth culture coupled with strong levels of natural enthusiasm, energy, and passion for your role.
