You’ll work on web and animation projects as well as print and online ads.
Who we are
Arke is a multi-award-winning, bold, and innovative digital marketing agency based in Brighton. We break norms and merge creativity with strategy to deliver campaigns and customer experiences that don’t just hit targets—they redefine them. Driven, curious, and unapologetically ambitious, we push boundaries to help our clients lead their industries while staying true to our values: Be Real, Be Curious, Be Bold.
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant and hands-on agency experience in a creative role working on campaigns and designs for brands & organisations in various industries.
- You’re a confident user of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animate, After Effects and Premiere Pro), Figma, Canva, AI creative tools such as Dall-E, Runway & MidJourney.
- Self-starter: You’re highly organised and have no problem reporting on and managing your own time using a project management tool.
- Communicative: You’re open to feedback and can constructively accommodate clients’ amendments.
- Creative thinker: You are naturally creative and can manage complex challenges as they present themselves to achieve our client’s objectives best.
- Constraints: You thrive under pressure. In a marketing agency, we can have tight deadlines to meet our different clients’ needs; therefore, time management skills are essential.
- Passionate: You live and breathe design, and you have a genuine curiosity about marketing that informs your work.
Responsibilities
- As a Graphic Designer, you’ll lead the creative output for your projects, with QA oversight from the Head of Creative. You’ll collaborate with Copywriters, Animators, and the Head of Creative as needed.
- Working in a marketing agency, you’re expected to understand marketing principles and adhere to best practices and accessibility standards.
- Duties – You’ll be involved in the entire process—from ideation to production and delivery. You’ll attend client meetings and liaise with the Arke Account Management team and sometimes directly with clients via email or meetings.
- Types of projects – Tasks include identifying client needs, developing briefs, creating visual executions, moodboards, and stylescapes, preparing presentations, contributing to estimates, storyboarding, amending existing assets, and branding rollouts across touchpoints.
- UX experience – The ideal candidate will have UX design experience or an interest in enhancing website and digital best practices.
- Output – Your work includes brand creation and guidelines, social media content, exploratory design routes, campaign assets (online, print, social media, and display), animations, print collateral (brochures, leaflets, posters), creative proposals (pitch decks and speculative work), case studies, award entries, and marketing materials to promote Arke and its clients.
- Show your work – You will produce roughs, scamps, and artwork sets, consistently resize assets, and create social templates.
- Presenting work and managing expectations – You’ll run smaller workshops with clients during fact-finding stages, present work, and shape feedback to refine projects. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll clearly present research like moodboards and stylescapes to guide clients through the process. Any project concerns should be flagged early to avoid delays.
- Pushing boundaries – Your work should exceed expectations, ensuring clients are consistently impressed by Arke’s creative output.
- Ways of working – You’ll work both independently and collaboratively to develop visual concepts. While you need to follow specific instructions, adhering to procedures is essential. Delivering high-quality work on time is a must.
- Time – You’ll track time spent on projects to help Arke monitor project profitability, team capacity, and capability—supporting forecasting and future quotes.
