Are you a recent graduate eager to kick start your career?

Are you a recent graduate ready to apply your skills to real-world challenges and make an immediate impact?

At Arke, we offer an Early Careers programme designed for curious, capable graduates who want more than a standard entry-level role. As a growing consultancy of around 50 people, we combine the personalised support of a small business with the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work from day one.

Why Arke?

At Arke, there’s no such thing as a typical day. You might be:

  • Analysing complex datasets at our Wiltshire HQ
  • Working directly with major defence or civilian clients on-site
  • Contributing to projects that shape national capability and investment decisions

You’ll play a key role in delivering consultancy projects ranging from one month to a year, helping clients answer critical questions such as:

  • How much will it cost?
  • How effective will it be?
  • When will it be delivered?
  • What are the wider strategic implications?

What you’ll do

  • Support the planning, management, and delivery of consultancy projects
  • Analyse complex systems, technologies, and data
  • Develop tools, models, and techniques to inform decision‑making
  • Present insights and recommendations to clients and senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across a variety of sectors

Your work will directly enable organisations to make smarter, evidence-based decisions on major investments.

Who we’re looking for

We’re less focused on your degree subject and more interested in your mindset, skills, and potential. You’ll thrive at Arke if you are:

  • A strong communicator who can break down complex ideas clearly
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys solving challenging problems
  • Proactive, adaptable, and motivated to deliver high‑quality outcomes
  • Confident in presenting ideas and engaging with stakeholders
  • Skilled in producing clear, structured written reports
  • Comfortable using Excel, with working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint

Bonus (but not essential)

  • Experience in a technical or analytical environment
  • Interest in defence, logistics, maritime, or manufacturing sectors
  • Awareness of project management or cost modelling approaches
  • Experience with data analysis, visualisation, or modelling techniques

What makes this ideal for graduates?

  • Accelerated responsibility – make a real contribution from day one
  • Variety of experience – work across industries, projects, and client sites
  • Professional development – build skills in consulting, analytics, and client engagement
  • Close-knit culture – learn directly from experienced colleagues in a supportive environment
  • Real-world impact – see how your work shapes high-value decisions
  • The role requires flexibility and willingness to travel (primarily within the South West)
  • You’ll work closely with clients, often on‑site, as part of integrated teams
