Maths & Economics Teacher in Wembley

About The Role

Reports to: Head of Department. Location: Wembley, North West London. Start date: September 2026.

We are looking for a Maths & ‘A’ Level Economics Teacher who is committed to ensuring every child is challenged to achieve their maximum potential. You will have passion, enthusiasm, alongside the skills and desire to develop and nurture every child in your care. You will deliver consistently excellent teaching and learning, to help all students to achieve excellent academic results.

Key Responsibilities

• To plan, resource and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure real learning takes place and students make superior progress.
• To provide a nurturing classroom and academy environment.
• Teach engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve pupil attainment.
• Prepare pupils for external examinations and support departmental revision/intervention strategies.
• Contribute to assessments, reports and references relating to individual and groups of pupils.

Experience

• Experience of raising attainment in a challenging environment.
• Experience of reflecting on and improving teaching practice to increase student achievement.
• Up to date knowledge in the curriculum area.
• Understanding of the strategies needed to establish consistently high aspirations and standards of results and behaviour.

Qualification Criteria

• Qualified to degree level or above in subject or related.
• Right to work in U.K.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
