Purpose of Role
Reporting to the Lead Senior Delivery Manager, the role holder will manage delivery for the secondary Geography programme. They will be the main point of contact for information and decision-making regarding the programme's delivery. The Senior Manager will oversee logistics such as scheduling delivery dates and approving additional training sessions. They will collaborate with the systems and partnerships teams to communicate with partner schools and ensure a positive customer experience. They will work in line with pan-programme delivery decisions, the vision set by the Head of Secondary Geography, and knowledge of schoolsβ experiences to design impactful training, professional development, and school support aligned with our commercial packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing a programme strategy supporting excellence in Geography, aligned with organisational goals.
- Champion customer feedback to inform programme development, utilizing Ark forums to understand implementation at school and classroom levels.
- Implement pan-programme delivery decisions within the Geography context, ensuring alignment with the school development team.
- Manage the end-to-end user experience for schools, coordinating with the systems and partnerships team and preparing communications.
- Stay updated on sector developments, legislative changes, and best practices in curriculum and professional development, sharing insights with the team.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Geography programme to deliver high-quality training and support.
- Deliver training and professional development to a high standard.
- Contribute to programme strategy through collaboration and feedback from schools.
- Proactively communicate spare capacity to reduce reliance on freelancers where possible.
- Keep the partnerships team informed about programme delivery.
Key Requirements
- Degree level education
- Qualified to teach in the UK and hold a relevant degree
- Understanding of the education landscape and current issues
- Proven success in Geography teaching, especially with pupils with low prior attainment in challenging urban schools
- Knowledge of current curriculum, assessments, and best practices in professional development
- Experience in providing teacher training, coaching, and mentoring
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
