Overview

Primary HLTA (SEND) role based in Enfield. Permanent, full-time, term-time salary Band 5 (Outer London) ranging from £27,713 to £31,176, depending on experience.

Start date: September 2026 or October 2026. Closing date: Friday 28th August 2026. Interviews will take place in the first or second week of September. Applications may be reviewed on an ongoing basis and the advert may close earlier depending on the level of response.

Role Details

We are seeking an ambitious and committed Primary HLTA (SEND) to join our primary team. This is an ideal role for those passionate about supporting children to reach their potential and make excellent academic progress. Responsibilities

  • Support children to reach their potential and achieve excellent academic progress as part of the primary team.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support pupils with SEND during lessons and targeted activities.
  • Contribute to an inclusive, high-quality learning environment and contribute to pupil progress.

Requirements

  • Ambitious and committed Primary HLTA (SEND) with a passion for supporting children’s learning.
  • Experience or understanding of supporting SEND students in a primary setting (as applicable).

Ark John Keats was founded in 2013 with one class of reception children. We are now a fully fledged all-through school, running from nursery to year 13, with over 1,700 children. How to Get to Us

Travelling by rail from central London: Our nearest overground station is Turkey Street. The station is a 10-minute walk from the school and connects to Seven Sisters, Stoke Newington and Hackney Downs on the way to Liverpool Street. National Rail services are also a 10-minute walk away and stop at Tottenham Hale and Hackney Downs before finishing at Liverpool Street.

Travelling by car: The school is accessible by car, with free on-site parking for staff and easy access from most of North East London within 30 minutes.
