About the role:

We are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), who will provide specific and direct support to children with Special Educational needs or a Disability (SEND), ensuring that these children make good progress in the mainstream curriculum. You will work alongside the SENCo and class teachers to provide in-class support and small-group teaching in Key Stage 3-4.

A calm and patient manner are essential, as is a nurturing approach. A good understanding of the academy’s teaching and learning and behaviour policies are desirable, and specific training will be provided to support you in the role. Liaising with the SENCo, class teachers and the parents of the children will all form part of your role.

The ideal candidate will:

Have the Right to work in the UK

Hold GCSE English & Maths grade C and above, or equivalent
