About The Role
We are now seeking a skilled and committed Lead Science Technician to join the Science department. This position will entail working closely with the Head of Science as well as other post-holders in the Science team to support the achievement of students at Isaac Newton Academy. You will have a chance to collaborate with other Ark teachers and leaders across the network, where there are numerous opportunities to develop knowledge and expertise.

- be one who is able to use their initiative, manage their time well and be supportive of other colleagues
- be organised, rigorous with inventory & keeping stock up to date
- have up-to-date knowledge of health and safety, CLEAPPS guidelines and practical science activities suitable in a secondary school
- be passionate about contributing to science enrichment and promoting science within the academy.
- be passionate about Science education and the importance the subject has in the wider culture and ethos of the academy
- have ambition to grow and develop

Isaac Newton Academy is a non-denominational, non-selective school, welcoming students of all backgrounds from the local community. We opened in 2012 with our inaugural cohort of 180 year 7 students. Isaac Newton Academy is an all through school with students from Reception to Year 13. Our mission is – striving together to be pioneers whose legacy makes a positive difference for our world.
