About The Role
Main Pay Scale Teacher β KS1 Speech & Language Facility Class
Due to the promotion of our existing teacher, we have an exciting opportunity for an excellent and nurturing teacher to join our Key Stage 1 Speech & Language class.
This is a part-time role, working two or three days per week, initially on a fixed-term contract from January until 31 July 2027.
You will teach a small group of KS1 pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), whose primary needs relate to speech, language and communication. Working closely with skilled support staff and other professionals, you will provide high-quality, carefully adapted teaching that enables pupils to develop their communication, confidence, independence and learning.
This is a particularly rewarding opportunity for a teacher who understands that children with SEND can achieve highly when teaching is ambitious, responsive and tailored to their individual needs. Experience of working with children with speech, language and communication needs would be a real advantage, although we would also welcome applications from excellent teachers with broader SEND experience who are keen to develop their expertise in this area.
