About the RoleReporting into a Team Leader (each team is circa 5â7) and up to the Director of Professional Services, you will be joining a marketâleading team of professionals to undertake risk assessments and advise on fire, health and safety matters at a variety of buildings, including midâhigh rise buildings, across our established portfolio of clients in residential, commercial and retail segments.
Responsibilities
Undertake risk assessments including fire and health and safety, ensuring the feeâearning target is met.
Undertake various fire, health and safety assignments within your competency.
Deliver client reports within the agreed SLA, in accordance with a forensic and pragmatic approach to ensure the Ark \âGold Standard\â is achieved.
Design health and safety site management systems where required, specific to client requirements.
Undertake onsite briefings and advise on risk management improvements.
Work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Work with other consultants to ensure we are constantly sharing knowledge across the team.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of controlling risks, compliances, etc., in relation to our online management system QUOODA.
The ideal candidate will have
At least 5+ years\â fire, health & safety risk assessment experience within the built environment in residential and/or commercial buildings
Good working knowledge of Approved Document B
Good working knowledge of BS 9999 / 9997
Education suitable to be competent to carry out Fire and Health & Safety risk assessments on seven or more floors in residential and commercial buildings
The ability to undertake Fire Risk Assessments and General Risk Assessments simultaneously
Articulate and clear communication and reportâwriting abilities as well as a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations
Qualifications
Must have NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or equivalent as minimum.
Fire safety qualification at a minimum of a level 4.
Registered, or able to apply for Advanced level (tier 3) on the fire risk assessors register.
Full member of either IFSM, FRACS, IFPO or IFE.
Practical RequirementsAbility to facilitate hybrid working with home office that is suitable for connectivity to the office and clients, a safe and productive place to work conducive for delivering daily duties.
