QA Validator is a Technical role within the Technical Operations Team with responsibility for driving the internal QA process and providing support to the Technical Operations Manager to develop the quality and capability of our Fire consultants and provide high quality reports to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- QA performance technical management review of all products within skill set, analyse and present trends to Technical Operations Manager on a monthly basis.
- Support and maintain the QA process (ISO9001) following the QA process for all products.
- Raise concerns when quality issues are identified and support with a training plan.
- Undertake QA of FRA’s, FS & FMP’s – in line with QA time expectations.
- Undertake a minimum of 1No. FRA at least quarterly or when business need dictates.
- BAFE Accreditation – support & Maintenance with BAFE Audit, witnessed audit support and ensuring processes are adhered to.
- Support, coach & mentor new starters and be part of their onboarding, when required – Ensure the feedback is provided weekly to Consultant and the new starter’s line manager and the feedback is logged within the training folder.
- Support and mentor up-skilling consultants, when required, to ensure attainment of required report quality is achieved - Ensure the feedback is provided weekly to Consultant and the new starter’s line manager and the feedback is logged within the training folder.
- Provide feedback to PS Operations Manager on Consultant report quality on a monthly basis.
- Witnessed validations/spot-check audits – Quarterly basis and on business need.
- Support with the Consultants, management and execution of CPD – review quarterly and supply feedback to the Technical Operations Manager.
- Legal and regulatory updates and advice to the consulting team and wider business, including external clients.
- Assist with review and maintenance of the Skills matrix and team competence.
Skills & Experience:
- Relevant qualifications at diploma level in Occupational Health and Safety practice.
- Member of relevant professional body at full member level (CMIOSH, FIIRSM, MIFireE or equivalent).
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and business priorities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, creative problem solving and interpersonal skills, research and report writing abilities and good knowledge of the regulations.
Additional requirements:
This position will mainly be based at home; however, we may on occasion require national (and at times international) travel.
