About us

At Ark Veterinary Surgery, we believe that the highest standard of care is born from a high‑functioning team that operates with genuine synchronization. Founded on a philosophy of clinical excellence and deep empathy, our two‑site practice in Mobberley and Northwich has evolved into a sophisticated professional home for those who value both their craft and their colleagues. We have cultivated an environment where leadership acts as a mentor‑peer resource rather than a traditional hierarchy, ensuring every member of our talented team of RVNs, SVNs, and receptionists feels empowered to lead from within. Our facilities serve as a canvas for your clinical freedom, equipped with digital radiography, advanced ultrasound, and comprehensive in‑house diagnostics to ensure you never have to guess. Beyond the tech, we have a culture of psychological safety where case collaboration is the norm and the 'human' element of medicine—supporting one another—is prioritized as highly as clinical outcomes.

About this role

This is an invitation to reclaim your passion for general practice within a diverse and engaging caseload. Your mission is to provide total care, moving seamlessly from diagnostic 'detective work' to successful surgical outcomes. As a primary care hub, you will manage everything from routine wellness to soft tissue surgeries, internal medicine investigations, and occasional exotic or wildlife patients. You will never practice in isolation; you will have direct access to Vet Oracle, a platform providing real‑time specialist interpretations in cardiology, neurology, and oncology.

About you

  • Clinical Versatility: Solid foundation in GP medicine and routine surgery, able to manage sole charge when required.
  • A Collaborative Spirit: Desire to contribute to a high‑functioning team culture and support peers.
  • Initiative and Growth: Aspirational mindset, ready to utilize internal learning suites and specialist support to further your professional legacy.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle a varied caseload—from 'furries' to wildlife—with a proactive, problem‑solving approach.

Our offer

We believe that professional fulfillment is only possible when personal well‑being is treated with the same respect as clinical skills. Our package is designed to be flexible and comprehensive:

  • Remuneration: Base salary up to £65,000 (FTE), commensurate with experience.
  • True Flexibility: Standard 41‑hour week with a 4‑day shift pattern; open to alternative schedules.
  • Well‑being & Legacy: 280 wellbeing champions, private medical insurance, forward‑thinking policies covering fertility treatment, pregnancy loss, and enhanced parental leave.
  • Professional Evolution: Dedicated CPD support and internal courses to develop a specialty niche.
  • The Extras: Volunteer days, cycle‑to‑work schemes, significant pet treatment discounts.

We are happy to explore other remuneration alternatives or scheduling structures that may better suit your needs.
