Through hands-on leadership, structured shadowing across our nurseries and consistent support from our team, you’ll build the confidence and experience needed to run a nursery successfully.

What you'll experience:

  • Shadowing leadership: You’ll work closely with an experienced manager, learning how to set up routines, lead teams and deliver the curriculum.
  • Hands-on responsibility: You’ll step into room leadership, developing an understanding of what children and teams need at different moments of the day. While based in one setting, you’ll also gain experience in other Ark Start nurseries, discovering different teams and approaches.
  • Support that builds confidence: You’ll receive ongoing coaching from senior leaders, with regular check-ins to reflect and discuss challenges.
