About the role: Ark St Alban’s Academy is seeking a Lead Teacher of Business to join a highly popular and growing department at our school. At Ark St Alban’s Academy, we teach GCSE business at Key Stage Four and in our Sixth Form, we teach BTEC Business Studies. We are seeking to grow the department further and to expand the range of qualifications offered in the subject.
The successful candidate will have an enthusiasm for the teaching and learning of business studies. The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of how achievement in this subject can enhance pupil progress across the curriculum and prepare them for success at university and beyond. We believe that success in a university preparatory curriculum is the best way to make sure that all of our pupils can make meaningful choices about their future when they leave us. As such, we teach an academically rigorous curriculum and provide pupils with both the pastoral support and the excellent teaching that they need in order to thrive.
