Successful GTAs may remain at Soane as trainee teachers after a year in the role. GTAs support students who find it hardest to meet behaviour, effort and academic progress expectations. They facilitate interventions in literacy, emotional regulation, personal organisation and relationship building, and coach students to become their best selves.

Ark is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in its academies. We follow a rigorous selection process to screen out unsuitable applicants, requiring an enhanced DBS check and disclosure of any unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
