Network Lead for Secondary Maths

Reports to: Directorof Curriculum, Assessment and Professional Development

Location: West London travel to other sites as needed (flexible working available)

Contract: 1 Year FTC (maternity cover)

Pattern: Full time (standard hours 9am – 5.30pm), 0.8FTE would be considered

Start date: Ideally January 2027, but flexibility is available

Salary: Β£60,000 – Β£70,000, but negotiable forexceptional candidates.

Key responsibilities

Working alongside theexisting Secondary Maths Network Lead, the wider Curriculum and Assessmentteam, and Ark Curriculum Plus, you will:

  • Provide targeted, school-facing support tomaths departments, working with leaders and teachers to strengthencurriculum implementation, teaching and pupil outcomes.
  • Support implementation of Ark's mathscurriculum and assessment approach,including the KS4 curriculum framework, Precise Planning, commonassessment and effective use of assessment information to respond to gapsin learning.
  • Support our work to strengthen KS3 mathematics,including the Year 7 maths catch-up programme and approaches to improvingteaching and addressing gaps in foundational knowledge.
  • Develop maths leaders and teachers across the networkthrough Network Days, subject network meetings, professional development,collaboration and the sharing of effective practice.
  • Contribute to the continued development ofArk's maths curriculum and resources,working closely with colleagues across Ark Schools and Ark CurriculumPlus.
  • Use evidence from school visits, assessmentand outcomes to identify priorities,provide clear and actionable feedback, and support departments to make andsustain improvements.
  • Contribute to wider maths priorities andprojects, including work on teacher deployment,enrichment and curriculum development.

Is this you?

  • An excellent and credible maths practitionerwith a strong track record of teaching and securing strong pupil outcomesat secondary level
  • A strong communicator and collaborator, ableto build effective relationships with maths leaders and teachers across a networkof schools
  • Passionate about improving maths teaching,curriculum and assessment, with the ability to translate subject expertiseinto practical support for schools
  • Able to use assessment, outcomes and otherevidence to identify priorities and support leaders to improve provisionand pupil achievement
