At Ark Evelyn Grace Academy, we are looking for a dynamic Admin and Premises Assistant to become a vital part of our operations team. From ensuring our site is safe, welcoming and well‑maintained, to supporting administrative functions and being a friendly face at reception—this is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of school life. The Role
This is a unique hybrid role combining premises, operations and front‑of‑house responsibilities. Working closely with the Premises Manager, you will help ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the academy while upholding the highest standards of safety, organisation and professionalism. You will play a key role in creating a school environment that is safe, efficient, and welcoming for students, staff and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational, Administrative & Front-of-House Support
- Provide professional reception cover, acting as a welcoming first point of contact
- Handle calls, enquiries and administrative requests efficiently and confidentially
- Support reprographics, record keeping and general admin tasks
- Assist with first aid and student welfare, maintaining accurate records
- Manage stock, stationery and ensure a well‑organised front office environment
- Premises & Facilities
- Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs and site upkeep
- Ensure the school site remains safe, secure and well‑presented at all times
- Support contractor management and site compliance processes
- Conduct site checks, report hazards and respond to helpdesk requests promptly
- Assist with room set‑ups, events and logistics across the academy
- Support CCTV monitoring and incident reviews
