About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the finance function across two entrepreneurial businesses operating within private aviation and luxury automotive.
It’s a broad, hands-on role combining the day-to-day finance function with management accounts, budgeting, cash flow forecasting and reporting.
Both businesses operate internationally, working across multiple currencies with specialist suppliers and high-value clients. As the standalone Finance Manager, you’ll have visibility across the whole finance function, supported by external accountants and advisers.
We’re looking for someone with a strong grounding in finance who enjoys variety, autonomy and taking ownership, and wants to play an important role within two fast-moving businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Raising, processing and reconciling customer and supplier invoices
- Managing purchase orders, supplier costs and associated payments
- Managing vendor accounts and resolving invoice/payment queries
- Supporting payroll, including multi-currency payments
- Bank, card and expense reconciliations
- Monitoring incoming payments and supporting credit control
- Supporting VAT, tax returns and associated payments
- Maintaining accurate purchase and sales ledgers
- Supporting month-end reconciliations and reporting
- Monitoring costs, cash flow and financial records
- Processing international and multi-currency transactions
- Supporting financial administration across high-value transactions and specialist projects
- Liaising with external accountants, advisers and financial partners
What We’re Looking For
- Around 4+ years' experience within finance and/or accounts
- AAT Level 3 or above
- Strong practical experience across AP and AR
- Experience with invoicing, reconciliations, POs and vendor management
- Understanding of VAT, tax administration and general financial controls
- Confidence using financial systems and spreadsheets
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Exposure to international or multi-currency transactions would be advantageous
- Experience within aviation, automotive or another international environment would be a major plus, but isn’t essential
What’s on Offer
- Generous basic salary up to £58k DOE
- Exposure to two distinctive businesses across private aviation and luxury automotive
- A varied role spanning multiple areas of finance rather than a narrow transactional remit
- Greater ownership and responsibility as both businesses continue to grow and develop
- An environment suited to someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and solving problems
What’s key for us is that you’re capable, dependable, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership.
