ARK is recruiting on behalf of a growing B2B events organisation looking to appoint an Italian Speaking Business Development Manager to support continued growth across its international events portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and commercially driven business where you will play a key role in driving exhibitor and sponsorship revenue, developing client relationships and supporting the growth of established and emerging events.
The Role:
This is a commercially focused sales role responsible for driving exhibition and sponsorship revenue across a portfolio of B2B events. Working closely with leadership and event teams, you will manage the full sales cycle, develop new business opportunities and build long term industry relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Selling exhibition space, sponsorship and associated event packages
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing
- Developing new business opportunities across international markets
- Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
- Growing and managing exhibitor and client relationships
- Identifying cross sell and upsell opportunities across the wider portfolio
- Working collaboratively with marketing and event teams
- Monitoring market trends and commercial opportunities
- Representing the business at events and industry meetings
- International travel where required.
About You
You are a commercially driven B2B salesperson who enjoys relationship building, managing your own pipeline and working within a target driven environment. Italian language capability is essential and previous B2B sales experience is highly important. Exhibition or event sales experience is advantageous, however strong B2B sales professionals from wider commercial backgrounds will also be considered.
Ideally you will have:
- Native or fluent Italian and strong English communication skills
- Previous B2B sales experience
- Experience managing the full sales cycle
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Strong organisation and pipeline management skills.
