Are you passionate about the drinks industry and building lasting relationships with customers? We’re looking for a driven and dynamic Field Sales Account Manager to cover the North Devon and Southwest region.
Location: Covering North Devon / Southwest
Job type: Monday – Friday (full time)
Salary: Starting from £30k + performance related bonuses
Role summary: You will be responsible for managing a territory based in North Devon and across the wider Southwest region. A typical day will include visiting various hospitality establishments as well as wholesalers. You’ll maintain and strengthen existing relationships with our client base as well as finding new business opportunities throughout your territory, all whilst being an exemplary ambassador for our client’s company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing on-trade and wholesale accounts within the North Devon and Southwest region
- Actively identify and convert new business opportunities across the hospitality and licensed trade sector
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular face-to-face visits and consistent account support
- Deliver product training, tastings, and brand education to clients and front-of-house staff
- Negotiate pricing, promotional activity, and visibility to ensure brand presence and volume growth
- Monitor and report on sales performance, territory activity, and competitor trends
- Work collaboratively with the wider sales and marketing team to support brand campaigns and events
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales using CRM tools or company reporting systems
- Represent our client’s brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity always
- Attend trade shows, regional events, and occasional evening or weekend promotions as required
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in field sales, account management, or business development preferably within the drinks industry or FMCG
- Strong understanding of the on-trade sector, ideally with existing contacts across pubs, bars, and wholesalers
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively
- Comfortable with regular travel across the assigned territory (full UK driving licence required)
- Resilient, target-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
