Ark Recruitment is working with a well-established and highly respected B2B financial media and events business operating within the private equity, hedge fund, and alternative investment space. The business delivers high-quality journalism, research, and industry-leading in-person and digital events to a global professional audience. Known for its strong editorial credibility and deep industry relationships, it plays a central role in connecting senior decision-makers across the financial services ecosystem. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to hire a Community Engagement Manager to help build, engage, and activate their global professional community.

The Role

As Community Engagement Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of the business, connecting people, ideas, and content across the finance and alternative investment space. This is a highly people-facing, relationship-led role combining community building, event programming, editorial collaboration, and sponsor coordination. You’ll work closely with editors, journalists, and commercial teams to source speakers, shape event agendas, and support a steady pipeline of high-quality multimedia content. Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior professionals across private equity, hedge funds, and financial services.
  • Conduct regular in-person meetings to grow and strengthen the professional community.
  • Support the creation of compelling agendas for in-person and digital events.
  • Source, secure, and manage speakers for panels, workshops, breakfasts, and private dinners.
  • Coordinate sponsor involvement to ensure strong alignment with content and audience relevance.
  • Feed a pipeline of relevant contributors into written, video, podcast, and panel content.
  • Work closely with editors and journalists to align community insight with editorial priorities.
  • Support surveys and research programmes by building engaged respondent groups.
  • Build and manage an active social media community through thoughtful posting and engagement.
  • Track industry sentiment and feedback to inform content and event strategy.

About You

We’re looking for a confident, sociable, and commercially aware individual who enjoys building relationships and working at the intersection of content, events, and finance. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in media, journalism/reporting or content.
  • Journalistic instincts or editorial experience.
  • A strong interest in, or understanding of, financial services, private equity, or hedge funds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence engaging with senior professionals and stakeholders.
  • Strong networking skills and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
  • Commercial awareness and professionalism.
  • Social media and digital engagement fundamentals.
  • Ideally a background in B2B financial media, financial services, or professional services.
  • Experience with podcasts, video, or other multimedia formats would be beneficial.
