We are seeking an exceptional Maths Teacher with KS5 & Further Maths experience to inspire the next generation of mathematicians and who cares deeply about the pupils they teach and are dedicated to helping our pupils access real options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a nurturing environment that helps pupils to develop as learners
  • Plan and teach well-structured, differentiated lessons which allow adequate time to embed new knowledge, understanding and skills
  • Create a positive climate for learning, by explicitly teaching lesson routines and applying behaviour systems consistently and fairly
  • Contribute to the planning of assessments and subject specific revision, including preparing pupils for national examinations
  • Develop strong partnerships and ensure regular communication with parents

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Mastery of and enthusiasm for mathematics
  • Knowledge of the national secondary education system, examinations and curriculum
  • Excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy
  • Experience of interpreting pupil data to drive lesson planning and pupil progress

Qualification Criteria

  • Qualified to teach and work in the UK
  • Strong A Levels or equivalent
  • Degree in Mathematics or degree in a closely related subject
