They enjoy social activities, maintain strong relationships, and need assistance with medication and finances. Each person is unique, with different needs, and each day offers new challenges and opportunities, all aimed at supporting independence.

Main duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
  2. Communicating and working well with supported individuals to provide personalized care and maintain appropriate relationships.
  3. Supporting individuals through activities, providing positive feedback and encouragement.
  4. Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on the Arks Information Management system.

What is a Relief Support Worker?

As a Relief Support Worker, you will perform the same duties as our Support Workers during your shifts. Since you do not have fixed hours, you have the flexibility to pick shifts that suit you.*

*Please note: Relief work is on an as-and-when basis to cover sickness, study leave, and other staffing contingencies. We cannot guarantee regular or ongoing work as staffing needs fluctuate.
