Lochgelly Support Worker

The Lochgelly service currently provides care to 10 supported people who live in Lochgelly and the surrounding areas. Some people live in their own homes while others stay with their families.
Getting to know the people we support is at the heart of what we do, working with them to learn about how they want us to support them. Support can range from a walk round Loch Ore Meadows, help with finances, a cup of tea at the Lochgelly centre, shopping, helping with personal care or going to the bingo. There are regular get-togethers in the community for people to meet and enjoy themselves.
Shifts can range from 3 hours to 16 hours over 7 days. There are really good travel links in and around Lochgelly with local bus routes and a train station. We have an established staff team to guide and support new people joining the team.
Your main duties will include but not be limited to:
- Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
- Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
- Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
- Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Arks Information Management system.
