  • Provide effective feedback, both verbal and written, to move learning forward.
  • Manage classroom behaviour using consistent, positive strategies that promote independence and responsibility.
  • Prepare pupils for end‑of‑key-stage assessments and transition to secondary school.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/carers, including through reports, meetings, and informal updates.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, including phase teams, subject leads, and support staff, to ensure a cohesive curriculum.
  • Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development by fostering resilience, confidence, and positive relationships.
  • Lead or contribute to extracurricular activities, clubs, trips, and wider school events.
  • Maintain accurate records, such as assessment data, intervention logs, and behaviour notes.
  • Reflect on and improve professional practice, engaging in CPD and contributing to school improvement priorities.

Benefits:

  • Admissions priority for children of schools staff.
  • Salaries 2.5% higher than main pay scale.
  • Twice as many training days as standard.
  • Generous pension scheme.
  • Access to Ark rewards – a scheme offering savings from over 3,000 major retailers.
