Kelso service provides support to 10 unique individuals with varying needs and abilities. They receive different levels of support with hours to suit personal requirements enabling them to maintain their tenancies and to live enjoyable lives. Our team encourage people to maximise their independence, participating in activities of their choice and to have meaningful relationships in the wider community.

Your main duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
  • Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
  • Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Ark's Information Management system.

As a Relief Support Practitioner, you do not have contracted hours. This provides flexibility, allowing you to pick up shifts that suit your availability. Please note: Relief work is offered on an as and when basis to cover sickness absence, study leave, and other staffing needs. We cannot guarantee regular or ongoing work, as the demand for relief staffing may vary over time.

  • Statutory annual leave paid monthly based on the hours you work.
  • Fully funded PVG & 1st year SSSC registration paid by Ark.
