We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Support Practitioners to join our friendly team at our Glenrothes service. The role involves supporting over 20 individuals of varying ages, including younger adults who live independently in their own flats, to live as independently, confidently and happily as possible. Activities include shopping, socialising, attending groups, appointments, leisure activities, or simply getting out and about. Shift patterns are flexible with varying hours; sleepover shifts are a requirement. A sleepover shift consists of working through a day, resting overnight in the service and working again the next day. The sleepover period is paid at £100.80 per shift, over and above contracted hours.
Responsibilities
- Work with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
- Communicate and work well with supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
- Take responsibility for supporting individuals throughout activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
- Update and maintain accurate records using a tablet on Ark’s Information Management System.
Qualifications
- Full UK driver’s licence required for the 2x37‑hour Female Only positions.
- Ability to perform physical activity, including supporting individuals who use wheelchairs.
- No previous experience required; full training is provided.
Benefits
- Competitive pay: starting at £13.45 per hour (£25,947.47 pro rata) with a guaranteed progression to £13.75 per hour (£26,526.23 pro rata) after probation.
