Overview
Arbroath Support Workers
Earn up to £24,307.67 per year pro rata. Full time & Part time contracts available. Arbroath currently have two teams working over Arbroath, Brechin, Friockheim and Carnoustie. We support individuals with a range of disabilities aged between 20 to 70. We support individuals within their own home and with their family. Support required ranges from personal care, developing skills to live independently, social support out in the community and to attend college where they can further their knowledge. We support our supported people to work towards outcomes which can include holidays abroad and closer to home to experience life to its fullest. We have a space for supported people to meet and build relationships with each other doing a range of activities. Ark is a major provider of Housing, Care and Support to people with long term and enduring conditions such as learning disabilities, mental health issues, dementia and autism. Our aim is to ensure that those who use our services get the very best out of Ark to enable them to live as independently as possible and lead a happy life.
Responsibilities
- Dedicated and caring individuals who are committed to making a difference in our supported people’s lives. Your role will be to provide practical, emotional and social support.
- Work with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable service users.
- Communicate and work well with individuals to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
- Carry out tasks in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Be responsible in supporting individuals throughout activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
- Update and maintain accurate records using a tablet on Ark’s Information Management system.
