Salary: Earn up to £26,526.23 per year pro rata

Overview

We are looking for individuals who have a passion to support young people through their transition into adulthood, including college support, first tenancy, life skills and group activities. You will provide social, emotional and practical support to meet young people’s agreed outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
  • Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
  • Be responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
  • Update and maintain accurate records using a tablet on Ark's Information Management system.
  • Provide support during sleepover shifts (working day, rest period sleeping over, then working next day). Sleepover period is paid at £100.80 per shift over contracted hours.

Previous experience of the following is an advantage but not essential as Ark will provide full training:

Pay

All Support Practitioners are paid at least the Real Living Wage, currently £13.45 per hour (£25,947.47 pro rata). After successfully completing probation, the hourly rate increases to £13.75 (£26,526.23 pro rata).
