We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Support Practitioners to join our friendly team at our St Andrews service. We support around 20 individuals living independently in their own flats, helping them with their day‑to‑day lives so they can live as independently and confidently as possible. All flats are located within the same building, creating a welcoming community feel and meaning there is no travel between sites, there is always a supportive staff team on hand. Our service is ideally located just a 5‑minute walk from St Andrews bus station, with regular connections to the rest of Fife, Dundee and surrounding areas.

About the role

  • Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
  • Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
  • Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Arks Information Management system.

What is a Relief Support Practitioner?

As a Relief Support Practitioner, you do not have contracted hours. This provides flexibility, allowing you to pick up shifts that suit your availability. Please note: Relief work is offered on an as and when basis to cover sickness absence, study leave, and other staffing needs. We cannot guarantee regular or ongoing work, as the demand for relief staffing may vary over time.
