As the music teacher at Ark Franklin, we want you to spread your love of music and performance to the children. We are looking for a passionate teacher that can build confidence and enthuse children with the power of music to create opportunity and change lives.

The role will deliver high-quality music provision across the school from Reception to Year 6 as part of our Specialist Teacher Team. You will deliver engaging music lessons from the basis of “Charanga”, the knowledge-rich curriculum that builds pupils’ musicianship progressively, enabling all children to develop skills in performance, composition and appraisal. You will also contribute to the wider life of the school through leading singing assemblies and supporting musical performances and events. You may also be asked to teach other classes as required within the needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have a genuine passion for music and a belief in the potential of every student.
  • Know the national primary curriculum for music and be committed to raising attainment.
  • Have high expectations for themselves and our pupils.
