We're looking for an experienced Carpenter to join Ark Fire Protection, working across fire door installation, repair and compliance upgrade projects on sites nationwide.
What you'll be doing:
- Installing and repairing fire doors and door sets to strict fire safety specifications
- Adjusting, hanging and fitting ironmongery, seals and closers to meet certification standards
- Carrying out first and second fix carpentry as required
- Working from technical drawings and manufacturer specifications
- Liaising with site managers and other trades on live construction sites
- Completing accurate compliance and inspection paperwork for each door
What we're looking for:
- Proven carpentry experience, ideally including fire door work (training towards fire door certification available if not already held)
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent trade qualification/experience
- Strong practical skills and an eye for detail, particularly around fit and finish
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time on site
- A full UK driving licence
- Military carpentry, joinery or trades backgrounds (e.g. Royal Engineers) are a strong fit for this role
