About The Role

Reports to: Head of Music

Start date: September 2026

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £41,328 - £53,606 (Ark Main Pay Scale AM1-AM6)

Working hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

The Role: This is a great opportunity for a Music Teacher who is passionate about their subject and believes that music is inclusive for all pupils. At Bolingbroke, we want to encourage as many of our pupils to play a musical instrument, or engage with the wider sphere of where music can lead, including production, musical performance and theatre. You will be part of a passionate community of teachers and musicians who aim to ensure high attainment of their subject across all key stages of the Music curriculum; developing and leading an exciting curriculum which drives ambitious outcomes for pupils and students.

For the candidate with the right experience, there may be opportunities for leadership role with TLR.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Appropriate degree and QTS in Music
  • Experience working with pupils across all key stages and abilities.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing behaviour and motivating children with a passion and belief in the potential of every pupil.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management.
  • Commitment to the values of inclusion and diversity.
  • The ability to question and challenge the status quo and find new and progressive solutions to existing systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience in musical theatre, this could be from University or extra-curricular.
  • Involvement in previous musical productions and performances.
  • Wide range of musical instrument expertise including accompanying.
