KS5 Science Lead Teacher
The Role
We seek a committed and enthusiastic professional to join our established science team. Working within the Science team, this role will lead our Key Stage 5 teaching and learning, ensuring great outcomes for learners of both A-Level and BTEC qualifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to drive standards across the wider teaching team, ensuing long term planning, individual lesson preparations, and communication and accountability for students help all achieve. Experience of coordinating BTEC qualifications would be an advantage.
Reports to: Head of Science
Start date: Immediate/January 2027
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £41,328 - £53,606 (Ark Main Pay Scale AM1-AM6)

The ideal candidate will:
- Be an outstanding teacher, able to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities across Key Stages 3-5
- Have a proventrack recordof success and raising pupil attainment inScience
- Have some experience of leading and coaching others
- Exude a passion for the subject which isevidentin their day-to-day classroom practice
- Demonstratehigh levelsof ambition and optimismregardingwhat the Academy and its pupils can achieve
- Have strongIT,administrative andorganisationalskills
- Have excellentcommunication andinterpersonal skills with children and adults
